• Energy-saving of Doors and Windows Lies Not Only in Material Quality But in Technology

  • Many people may not know that doors and windows have become the weakest part in the  energy-saving of constructions  in China.The energy lost through doors and windows each year can account for 40% to 50% of building energy consumption .It’s necessary and practical to popularize the energy-saving doors and windows.
    Talking about the door hardware accessories,in fact,it is a huge industrial chain,and also a combination of many marginal disciplines,such as the rubber industry,the wood processing industry,the non-mental surface treatment ,etc..,
    Any small detail will affect the overall performance of doors and windows.For example,if used the ordinary rubber seal in the market, it will become aged and deformed that will cause the air leaking,and the sealing effect is very bad.If so,How can we talk about the energy-saving?
    In my opinion,the energy- saving of doors and windows can be consideration from the followings:
    1.The Materials of Doors and Windows
    Now,doors and windows are made of aluminum alloy,PVC,plastic,solid wood,and some iron possibly.As you all know,iron and aluminum have a high thermal conductivity that the heat will be emitted .Thus, when you stay in home,you will feel cold in winter.In these recent years,PVC windows and plastic windows have been very popular.But they are not strong enough, and very easy to become brittle,thus,their securities can be imagined.At present,the wooden window is the most energy-saving and environmentally friendly.But the it has its own defects,too.it’s easy to burn,to rot,to crack.Through the special craft and technical treatment,the wood is very stable.But at the same time,the price of  wooden windows is becoming expensive.
    2. Glass
    Glass take up most of the area of glass doors and windows,so it plays a very important role in the energy-saving index.There are several kinds of glass in the market: one is the ordinary glass without being tempered,the second one is ordinary toughened glass,the third one is coated glass,and the forth is low-E glass.Each one can be carried out subdivision.So,which glass is the best one with strong energy-saving effect?Low-E glass ,it can be filter out the infrared,the far infrared, the UV and the other harmful rays,thus,its energy-saving effect is remarkable.In these recent years,the government requires the high buildings should be with the hollow glass,which is with two layers of glass.But look at the hollow glass in the market,their heat insulation is not good.
    3.Energy-saving of Doors and Windows is the Whole Energy-saving
    The sealing performance of doors and windows is also the important parameter which affects the energy-saving.If there is a problem in the sealing of doors and windows,its energy will be lost very easily. The sealing of doors and windows are including the following aspects, the first one is the sealing materials,the good seal strip is  with good flexibility and elasticity,even at minus 20 degree,it can maintain its toughness,too.Besides the sealing rubber,the doors and windows should be through the special craft treatment process,then the inside and outside pressure can be balanced.
    In a word,the energy-saving of doors and windows is not only lies on the materials,but also on the glass,it also depends on the craft process of doors and windows.
